A bit of background
I’ve been to The Healthy Retreat before so know and understand how the programmes work. I particularly like the flexibility of dates rather than being locked in to specific programme date that doesn’t necessarily work with my work schedule.
I’m not a fitness fanatic but needed to kick start a fitness programme into my life, so I chose the Flexi programme. For me the 5 night retreat wasn’t about weight loss. After finishing a work contract where I am bound to a desk, I wanted to focus on my cardio health and general well-being. If I lost weight along the way that would be an added bonus (obviously!) and for this reason I also went for the Portion Controlled diet.
After 4 days I lost 2kg and 3.5 inches. Since returning home, I have continued with Katie’s inspirational workouts and dietary suggestions and over the course of a month have lost an incredible 7.3kg (1st 2lb)!
I feel amazing, have rediscovered half my wardrobe and even got a double take from a very nice chap whilst on my way to the tube station!
